ABOUT THE PRACTICE

The Veterinary Dental Surgery recently established was set up to provide a dedicated service to companion animals requiring dentistry and oral surgery. Both “routine” and referral cases are accepted by prior arrangement with your veterinary surgeon.

The surgery is dedicated to dentistry and oral surgery. The practice is designed to ensure that all equipment required to perform the highest standard of dentistry can be utilised at all times. Intra-oral radiographs are taken using digital technology, improving the quality and reducing time taken to obtain images. All the equipment needed for basic periodontal therapy to that requiring bone grafts, or advanced orthodontic or orthopaedic surgery is at hand. We work in close association with a dental laboratory and other referral centres if more advanced imaging such as CT scans are necessary.

The practice does referral work only. Consultation times and lengths are very flexible depending on the pet’s problem, where clients have travelled from and also to discuss long term care that may be required for your pet. Often the discharge consultation is as long, if not longer than the initial consultation. Post op consultations are usually required and the time interval between these will be discussed at the time of discharge. We aim to provide enough time to answer any concerns you may have relating to your pets condition to ensure that the very best care can be given both by us and yourself.
